Jan Plachy received the BSc, MSc and Ph.D. degree in telecommunication engineering from the Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic in 2012, 2014 and 2021, respectively. Currently, he works as a part time researcher at the Department of Telecommunication Engineering at the same university, while managing the 6Gmobile research lab testbed where he prepares demos to demonstrate the research done within the 6Gm lab. Furthermore, he primarily works as R&D Technical Product Manager at Deutsche Telekom in T-labs Berlin focusing on future networks research. From 2022 he participates in research towards 6G in the next Generation Research Group within the O-RAN alliance and co-leads one of the research streams. He was on internships at CEA-Leti, France (2014), EURECOM, France (2016 and 2019) and Bar-Ilan University, Israel (2017). He has been participating in many national (Czech and German) and international research projects focused on mobile networks. His research interests cover optimization of mobility management and radio resource management of both communication and computing resources, non-terrestrial communication, and joint communication and sensing. He published 14 conference and journal papers in IEEE and Elsevier.
